About Tulsa Juneteenth Festival
The Tulsa Juneteenth Festival, which took place June 15-19, is a community-funded festival, created, supported, and operated by Tulsa Juneteenth Inc. and the Tulsa community. The festival recognizes Juneteenth, which is the oldest holiday celebrating the emancipation of those who had been enslaved in the United States.
While the festival began primarily as a live music event, over the years, Tulsa Juneteenth has expanded its scope, working to provide the north Tulsa community with resources and information that address personal, as well as community, needs.
