During the 2025 holiday season, generous donors helped brighten the lives of 3,361 children and families served by Family & Children’s Services (FCS), a 5% increase over last year, through our annual Holiday Assistance program.
For many FCS clients, December can be stressful. Low- and no-income families often face tough choices between paying bills and buying gifts. For 29 years, the Holiday Assistance program has eased this burden by providing support to the families who need it most.
This year’s program included five components:
- Adopt-a-Family
- FCS Santa Shop
- Adult Program Santa Shop (funded by Care Card net proceeds)
- Bike Drive donated by Tulsa Bike Club
- Monetary donations
Caseworkers and therapists identified the neediest clients actively engaged in treatment. As a result:
- 151 families (671 individuals) were adopted by 118 donors, including QuikTrip, which adopted 17 families.
- Over 1,000 children received gifts through the FCS Santa Shop, including:
- 948 HUGS (hats, underwear, gloves, socks)
- 176 books
- 368 coats
- 3,721 toys and games
For the second year in a row, Care Card proceeds supported adult programs, providing $73,000 in essential items, a 3.5% increase over 2024, serving an estimated 1,690 individuals, an 18% increase.
Thanks to the Tulsa Bike Club, Two Men and a Truck and the Sanford & Irene Burnstein Family Foundation, more than 100 bikes were gifted to children in programs such as School-Based Services, Women in Recovery and Early Childhood Programs. Over the past 18 years, these partners have donated more than 3,400 bikes to FCS children’s clients.
We are deeply grateful to every donor, volunteer and partner who made the holidays warmer and brighter for those we serve. Your generosity helps families heal, grow and thrive.
