Women in Recovery’s Phase 1 housing has earned Level III certification from the Oklahoma Alliance for Recovery Resources (OKARR), marking an important milestone in the program’s commitment to high‑quality, recovery‑focused housing. This certification affirms that WIR provides safe, stable and supportive housing for up to 48 participants as they begin their recovery journey.
OKARR serves as Oklahoma’s certifying body for recovery housing and upholds nationally recognized standards for safety, quality, and recovery support. Level III certification reflects WIR’s use of the social model of recovery, an approach centered on empowerment, peer connection, skill‑building and community engagement. Through this model, participants gain the structure and support needed to build confidence, strengthen independence and work toward long‑term stability.
Achieving OKARR certification also positions Women in Recovery to pursue additional state and private funding, helping sustain and expand recovery housing options for women across Oklahoma. This milestone underscores WIR’s ongoing commitment to providing safe, effective environments where recovery can take root and thrive.
