Accreditation & Certifications

Family & Children's Services strives to achieve its mission through attention to the quality, accessibility and cost-efficiency of its services. To that end, we are accredited and abide by strict professional standards while maintaining a comprehensive clinical service Quality Assurance Program.

F&CS is accredited nationally every four years by the Council on Accreditation for Services to Families and Children. In addition, F&CS has been certified by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services to provide alcohol and drug abuse treatment as well as Medicaid services. These standard setting organizations ensure that the F&CS Board, administration and staff conform to the highest professional standards and ethics.

Awards

Believing in people and families and helping them to build strong foundations for brighter futures is what we are all about. By remaining committed to our mission, we have received:

• Leadership Tulsa's Paragon Award for Outstanding Board Leadership to board member Mark Lewellen.

• The Certificate of Appreciation for developing the Tulsa mental health delivery system and for innovative treatments for marriage and family therapy from the Oklahoma Association of Marriage & Family Therapy.

• The Award of Excellence for exemplary and innovative leadership from the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Foundation.

• Zarrow Families and the Mental Health Association of Tulsa recognized Executive Director Gail Lapidus for innumerable contributions in transforming the mental health system in Tulsa County.

• The Excellence in Management Award from the Center for Non-Profit Management.
