More than 300 F&CS children in need were given backpacks filled with clothes, underwear, socks, shoes and hygiene products during a fun-filled party Aug. 6.
"Many of these children would never receive these basic necessities without the kindness and hard work of GTAR members, says Crystal Houck, F&CS program director. "These kids are so excited to have a new outfit to wear their first day of school along with all the items they need to feel good about themselves during the course of the school year."
Over the last four years, GTAR has raised approximately $60,000 to change the lives of more than 1,220 F&CS families.
