Credentials
We strive to achieve our mission through attention to the quality, accessibility and cost-efficiency of our services. To that end, we are accredited and abide by strict professional standards while maintaining a comprehensive clinical service Quality Assurance Program.

F&CS is accredited nationally every four years by the Council on Accreditation (COA) for child, family and behavioral health services. F&CS is certified by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services as a Community Mental Health Center to provide outpatient mental health services and alcohol and drug abuse treatment. The agency is also an authorized Medicaid provider. The F&CS Board of Directors and staff adhere to the highest professional standards set by these accrediting organizations and conform to the highest professional standards and ethics.

Family & Children's Services is a member agency of the Tulsa Area United Way and Rogers County United Way. F&CS is a member of the following national organizations: The Alliance for Children and Families, Mental Health Corporations of America, the National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare and the National Child Traumatic Stress Network.

  • Self-Sufficiency Award from the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits
  • Excellence in Management Award from the Center for Nonprofit Management
  • Robert Rice Innovative Program Award from Family Service America
  • Child Abuse Prevention Award to board member Holbrook Lawson Webb from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
  • Leadership Tulsa's Paragon Award for Outstanding Board Leadership to board member Mark Lewellen
  • Certificate of Appreciation for developing the Tulsa mental health delivery system and for innovative treatments for marriage and family therapy from the Oklahoma Association of Marriage & Family Therapy
  • Award of Excellence for exemplary and innovative leadership from the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Foundation
  • Special recognition from the Zarrow Families Foundation and the Mental Health Association of Executive Director Gail Lapidus for innumerable contributions in transforming the mental health system in Tulsa County
  • Twelve federal research grant awards from various federal agencies for mental health, trauma, prevention, family strengthening, jail diversion, mobile crisis response for children, homeless and healthy marriage projects
