Children's Mental Health

As a parent, you want what is best for your child, but it is not always easy to know what type of support he or she needs. That's where we step in...

We evaluate and treat children with serious social, emotional and behavioral disorders through assessment, diagnosis, and medication, if needed.

We work with families to help their children:

  • Strengthen social skills
  • Develop self-control
  • Solve problems on their own
  • Recognize emotions and feelings
  • Respect others
  • Succeed in school
  • Reduce conduct problems such as defiance, bullying, stealing and lying
  • Decrease conflict with family members, teachers and/or peers
  • Increase self-esteem

Our children's mental health services include individual and family therapy, play therapy, child psychiatry, ADD/HD screening, group treatment and crisis intervention.

Services are offered at F&CS locations, on-site at OU Bedlam school-based health clinics, and at a number of elementary and middle schools in the Tulsa, Jenks and Union school districts.
