Our Community Outreach Psychiatric Emergency Services (COPES) Team can help you or a loved one in need of crisis services.  This highly skilled and respected team of mental health providers can assess a situation and provide support for those in need of crisis services.  The team can work with children or adults experiencing the following:

  • Threats of suicide
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Self-injury
  • Aggressive behavior
  • Threats to harm others
  • Depression
  • Severe emotional upset or inability to care for daily needs
  • Poor reality testing or thought disorder
  • Overwhelming anxiety or panic attacks

Our team is trusted by law enforcement and schools.  Law enforcement utilizes the services of COPES when officers come in contact with individuals experiencing crises.  This reduces the number of individuals taken to jail, and increases positive outcomes for them.  Schools call on COPES when a child is experiencing a crisis outside the school staff’s scope of expertise.  The COPES team can assess a child’s situation and advocate for appropriate services.

John Mulligan, COPES clinician, says this of the program, “I love being able to make an immediate impact to improve a person’s current situation.”
