When 22-year-old Bill arrived at Family & Children’s Services’ CrisisCare Center, a trauma had left him non-responsive, mute and unable to even feed himself. Following an assessment, he was admitted into our 16-bed Crisis Stabilization Unit. In less than a week, Bill was walking around, eating and interacting with staff and other patients. Had he been taken to a long-term care facility, he may have lost his job or even his home. Thanks to the innovative care provided by Family & Children’s Services, Bill, and other like him, have regained hope.
