Oklahoma incarcerates more women per capita than any other state. It’s a practice that’s expensive, can tear apart families and fuels the cycle of intergenerational incarceration. But Family & Children’s Services, with support from the George Kaiser Family Foundation, offers an alternative to incarceration program that has proven effective in creating positive life changes for female offenders and their children.
