Make a wish and place it in your heart. Anything you want, everything you want. Now believe it can come true. You never know where the next miracle’s going to come from, the next smile, the next wish come true. But if you believe that it’s right around the corner, and you open your heart and mind to the possibility of it, to the certainty of it, you just might get the thing you’re wishing for. The world is full of magic, you just have to believe in it. So make your wish and believe in it with all your heart.
We are in recovery for hope, hope that we will leave a mark in this world, a mark that we will always be remembered by. Hope that one day our lives will make sense, that good things will happen to us.

Emily joined WIR, which provides an alternative to incarceration for women who’ve committed non-violent criminal offenses, in January 2012. The 22-year-old mother was facing a sentence of six years to life for attempting to obtain forged prescriptions, grand larceny and other related charges. After completing WIR, Emily hopes to attend college and become an author.
